フォルクスワーゲン ニュービートルをベースとしてBaja BugやOverLanderをイメージさせる本格的なオフロード仕様のカスタムマシンをニュービートルをベースとして再現したネオバグスタイル。 但しいわゆるRVやSUV等のオフロード車を用いるのではなく、ジャンル外の車種を用いてセンスよく本格的にまとめ上げてカスタマイズする事をコンセプトにNB-1は製作されました。

先ずは必要不可欠のリフトアップ。いわゆるオフロード向きの車輌ではない為に足回りの構造が不向きでしたが、リフトアップ専門の協力ショップとタッグを組み極限までのリフト数値を検証し繰り返しの試作を経て前後ともに６cmのリフトアップを実現させました。

タイヤには性能面で国内で抜群の評価を得るTOYOタイヤのOPEN COUNTRYを採用。オフロードは勿論の事、公道ではリフトされた不安定なマシンをしっかりホールドし、安定した走行を確保します。サスペンション＋タイヤでフロントは９cmリアは12cmのノーマル対比のリフトアップとなります。リフトアップは構造変更登録で公認となります。

そしてオフロード車のイメージを醸し出すフェイス分のフロントオフロードバンパーは、LUDIXオリジナルで専用設計されました。フォグランプマウントも備えています。頑丈なスチール製で表面仕上げには耐久性と密着性に優れた粉体塗装パウダーコーティングを施しました。塗装工場にて特別配合されたオフロードの持つハードイメージにぴったりの結晶塗料風の塗装表面に仕上げました。パウダーコーティングの中では唯一の技術です。

次に、ルーフキャリアは社外品が既に存在しなかった為にこちらも専用設計。困難なマウント方法は熟練された製品開発者と協力工場にて試行錯誤の末に開発されました。ニュービートルの丸みとのバランスを取り、ボディとの一体感を保つ様にデザインされました。こちらも同様に丈夫なスチール製で同じ粉体塗装を採用し、各パーツとの統一感でまとめています。そしてリアゲートのラック。キャンパーラックと名付けられた機能性を取り入れたラックです。あらゆるモノを積めるように4箇所のマウントホールでアタッチメントを取り付けて対応できる様に仕上げました。こちらも上記パーツと同じ素材と表面仕上げです。リアビューをハードに演出します。

LUDIXオリジナルパーツは全て国内生産で、高品質な『メイド・イン・ジャパン』です。これらのハイクオリティーパーツと合わせて、ボディペイントやラッピングフィルムでマシンイメージをさらに独創的に演出します。見い出して魅せる、それがLÜDIXコンセプトです。

The Neo Bug Style is a fully-fledged off-road custom machine inspired by Baja Bugs and OverLanders, recreated using the Volkswagen New Beetle as a base. However, instead of using traditional off-road vehicles like RVs or SUVs, the concept behind the NB-1 was to skillfully and authentically customize it using an out-of-genre vehicle. First, we tackled the essential lift-up. Since the New Beetle is not inherently designed for off-road use, its suspension structure was unsuitable. Collaborating with a specialized lift-up shop, we conducted extreme lift measurements and repeated trials, ultimately achieving a 6 cm lift for both front and rear. For tires, we adopted TOYO Tires' OPEN COUNTRY, highly praised in Japan for performance. These tires ensure solid hold and stable driving on public roads, even for the lifted, unstable machine, as well as off-road. The suspension and tires together provide a lift of 9 cm at the front and 12 cm at the rear compared to the standard setup. This lift-up has been officially approved with a structural change registration. Next, the front off-road bumper, designed to evoke the image of an off-road vehicle, was specially designed by LUDIX. It includes mounts for fog lamps and is made of robust steel with a durable, high-adhesion powder coating finish. The coating was specially formulated to match the hard image of off-road use, resulting in a unique textured finish, a one-of-a-kind technique in powder coatings. Furthermore, since there was no existing aftermarket roof carrier for the New Beetle, we also designed one from scratch. The development, conducted through trial and error with experienced product developers and partner factories, achieved a design that balances the New Beetle’s roundness and maintains a sense of unity with the body. Made of sturdy steel and finished with the same powder coating, it complements the other parts. Additionally, the rear gate rack, named the Camper Rack, incorporates functionality to carry various items with four mounting holes for attachments. This, too, is made from the same materials and with the same surface finish, giving a hard impression to the rear view. All LUDIX original parts are domestically produced in Japan, ensuring high quality and ‘Made in Japan’ reliability. Together with these high-quality parts, body paint, and wrapping films further enhance the machine’s unique image. Discover and display, that is the LÜDIX concept.
